This area is aimed at the younger party life style, so if you are looking for a quite relaxing vacation or some amazing you may want to head south down an hour or two to the Mayan Rivera.

Cancun has the largest airport in Mexico located only 15 minutes from hotel zone. Most major city’s offer cheap destination packages to and from Mexico making it and ideal tourist destination. Transportation around Cancun is extremely easy. When leaving the terminal be sure to watch out for and avoid everyone who approaches you, there is tuns of hagglers, tying to trick you into their overly priced services. A random side note, the speed bumps (topes) are huge so make shure you slow the heck down your your car will definitely get some air. I would not recommend renting a car unless you planned on going longer distance to explore outside of Cancun. With 24/7 transportation and cheap prices there is almost no need for a car. Buses run 24 hours a day and will travel as far as Mexico City. When getting on if you Don’t know your exact destination and be sure to tell the bus driver, they are always friendly and willing to help you.

One must see destination in Cancun is located right in the center of the hotel zone. The Interactive Aquarium brings your right up and close with the exotic aquatic life. You can pet sting rays and even sharks. You can even swim with dolphins, which is always an experience to remember. Cancun’s Beaches are stretch as far as the eye can see with white dazzling sand beaches. The water s crystal clear bluely green and always inviting. The ocean is packed full of water activities, ranging from catamarans, seadooing, and ocean fishing.

There is a local Lagoon that offers snorkeling and diving through reefs or tours and exploration in the jungle surrounding the area.

For those who like the western life style, La Lsla is a huge outside outdoor shopping mall located close to most of the main hotels. When shopping remember then Bartering is almost expected so don’t give in to easily if you want yo score your self a great deal.

Countless Restaurants can satisfy your every taste bud. Depending on your budget there are many high end dinning down to the smaller cheaper restaurants to gain the real Mexico feel. Some of the more well known restaurants includ Cambalache, The Cove, La Habichuela, Jimmy Margaritaville, Laguan Grill, Paloma Bonita, El Rincon del Vino, Las Tortugas, Tumbaburros, all of which come highly recommended.

In terms of Night Life Cancun’s night scene is like no others anywhere in the world. Coco Bongo Club has to be one of the hottest clubs, being there is almost like being at a Vegas show! Carlos, Coronaville and Charlie’s are also hot must see clubs. Senior frogs opens up at noon to invite you in for a bite to eat but don’t let it fool you by night fall this place is a happening dance floor that get jam packed with party goers. The City is an enormous venu featuring many of the Top DJS in the industry.

After you get some late nights of partying up you may want to get to get out on some excursions and see some to see some of the greatest extractions in Mexico. Chichen Itza is a world famous Mayan Ruin located in Tulum which is defiantly a must see in any Mexico vacation. An hour or two south of Cancuun lies two of the best Eco parks in the country, Xel-ha and XCaret.

Xel-Ha is by far one of my top must see attraction. Xel-Ha is a completely natural water park with filled with endless snorkeling, snuba, cliff jumping, tube rides and flourishing with natural wildlife. XCaret is more of a Zoo then a water park all thogh it does have a pretty cool under ground river. The wild life at XCaret range from monkeys, bat caves, jaguars, and even mere cats. Both of these parks have the ever popular swimming with the dolphins.

Isla Mujres is a small island less then 20 minutes in a fairy from the main Hotel Zone. Isla Mujres is free from most of the tourist attractions. In Isla Mujres you will find cheap prices and some amazing ecological locations. A scooter is cheap to rent and perfect means for transportations around the island.

Cancun is one of the hottest destination sites in Mexico, during spring break Cancun becomes party central. Late nights and relaxing afternoons become a daily routine. Expedia Travel is offering some great prices on a flight to Hawaii if you can depart out of LA, San Francisco or Seattle. All of these cities are located on the west coast making them a great place to offer Hawaii travel deals from. A round trip flight to Oahu out of Seattle for this summer will cost 450 dollars. A flight to Oahu from LA will cost around 600 dollars. Go figure. I don’t understand why it would be more than 100 dollars cheaper to fly the greater distance from Seattle to Hawaii but airline ticket deals can be very nonsensical.

The key is jumping on the right airline ticket when they pop up. A flight to Maui out of San Francisco will be around 730 dollars round trip. The flight to Hawaii travel link below also has discounts on car rentals through Advantage. I have noticed that Advantage is a popular choice for Expedia when listing care rental deals.

From my understanding, these deals are available from spring into summer but I do not know the specific departure and return dates to see the most saving. Play around with the book a trip feature on Expedia to find the best price.

SOLAR POWERED CARS GETS MORE ATTENTION AS GAS PRICES CLIMB

By now everyone has heard the phrase, necessity is the mother of invention. Well, rising gas prices are certainly doing their part to create the necessity. As filling the tank almost requires getting a home loan, people are starting to look for options.

I recently read that one commuter decided to sell his car and opt for a bicycle. That may be great for him, but with a 20-mile commute, a family of four, and a home in DFW (Bicycling Magazine’s lowest rated city for bicycle friendliness), I don’t think that answer will work for me.

One idea that is intriguing is a solar powered car.

And recently there have been some interesting stories that give the idea at least a glimmer of hope. For example, one Boise, Idaho man has converted a Geo Metro into a vehicle that can be powered by solar or by plug-in recharging.

Similarly, the Nuna 2, is a solar-powered one seater that has toured most of the civilized world. What is so promising about this vehicle is that it has a top speed of 105 miles per hour.

Unfortunately, however, the problem with most of these cars is the severe limitations they face with respect to performance.

On the one hand, a Geo Metro may provide enough space for a typical driver who hauls around a kid or two and goes to the grocery store, but many converted solar cars only get up to 20-40 miles per hour. That’s not going to get it done on the interstates outside Dallas.

Additionally, while the Nuna 2 can hit high enough speeds for any automotive application short of drag racing, it is a one-seater solar pancake that has less storage space than a motorcycle.

Then there is the simple problem of trying to get people to hand over the keys to their beloved cars which often occupy roles akin to family members.

The efficiency car movement is having problems similar to the ones faced by many performance automobile makers, how to create the special features sought by the customer while also providing some level of practicality, states Dallas Texas exotic car club owner Ron Sturgeon.

Gas Prices To Blame - Low Truck Sales

Carl and Shayne Patterson are in the market for a brand new truck. It’s a decision fewer and fewer Americans seem to be doing during these days of high gas prices.

“I have to haul a boat and I need a truck to haul but if it wasn’t for that I’d buy a hybrid,” says Carl Patterson.

The couple is considering buying a Toyota Tundra. But they’re not the only ones feeling the pinch of high gas prices. car dealerships are seeing a decline in truck sales as many consumers are trading in those gas guzzlers for more fuel efficient vehicles.

“We do get a lot of domestic pickups and SUV’s being traded in on sedans,” says Robert Derrick, internet sales manager with Dick Dyer Toyota.

He says the dealership has seen an increase in small car sales. “The family, they’re looking at their dollar, their pocket as you definitely have a spike as far as the sedans. And better gas mileage,” says Derrick.

And while Toyota and other import dealers are feeling the pain from the pump, domestic dealers aren’t fairing any better. Jeremy Carter, internet sales manager with Love Chevrolet says his car dealership may have more to lose.

“It’s definitely hurt our market especially Chevrolet and most American car companies. Our trucks and SUV’s are much bigger sellers than our cars. We’re trying to push and get all the cars we can and stay away from the trucks which is the complete opposite of what we would have done 2 years ago,” says Carter.

But he says the push toward smaller cars is not coming easy for some of their loyal truck customers. “We’ve heard a lot of, man I love my truck, but I just don’t know if I can drive it anymore,” says Carter.

Meanwhile the Pattersons say if they do decide to purchase a new pickup, they’ll be driving it as a last resort. “I’ll probably still drive my old truck that gets good gas mileage and just leave this one for hauling the boats and campers and stuff like that,” says Patterson.
